History

The Department of Higher Mathematics was established in 1947 on the basis of Lviv Politechnics. The first Head of the Department was Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, professor Blahoveshchenskyy N.V.

Scientific and methodological work

The scientists of the Department are working at complex problem: “The general system theory and mathematical modeling of technological processes”. The computer technologies are widely used in the mathematical investigations.
