The Faculty of land surveying

The Faculty of Land Surveying is very important faculty of Lviv National Agrarian University. More than 400 full-time students and near 500 external students study at the faculty.

There are five departments at the Faculty. 7 Academicians, 8 Full Professors (Doctors of Sciences, PhD), 22 assistant professors (Candidates of Sciences, PhD) provide education for students. They train students according to the following specialities: “Land Management and Cadastre” (for EQL “Bachelor”, 4 years of study; EQL “Specialist”, 1 year of study; EQL “Master”, 1 year of study), “Geo- informational Systems and Technologies” (for EQL “Master”, 1 year of study), “Economics of Surroundings and Natural Resources” ( for EQL “Master”, 1,6 years of study).

The training of the specialists is carried out in the following directions: Land Protection, Land and Real Estate Evaluation, Regulation of Land and Property Relations.

The activity of the faculty is directed on training of land managers according to the demands of land management. During the period of its functioning the Faculty has trained over 8,000 engineer-surveyors who work in the system of State Agency of Land Resources of Ukraine, regional departments of land resources and other state and private land surveying organizations.

The Faculty has close cooperative contacts with scientists and higher educational institutions of Austria, Denmark, Poland and Slovakia. Third and fourth- year students have an excellent opportunity to improve their knowledge and get some additional experiences in Great Britain and Germany.

Modern technologies, equipment, instruments, computer classes and literature are used at the Faculty.

Favorable conditions for thorough development of future specialists are organized at the Faculty and at the University.
