History

The Department was established in 1962 together with of Agriculture Electrification Department. First Head of the Department was V.H. Kovalchuk. Later on it was directed by such assistant professors as M.L. Hirnyk (1967-1974), B.T. Poslavs’kyi (1974-1976) and V.Yu Vorobkevych (1976-1984). In 1984 The Mechanization of Livestock Farms Department and Electrification of Agriculture Department was united into one - Mechanization of Livestock Farms   and Electrification of Agriculture Department which was headed by Candidate of Engineering, assistant professor V.M. Syrotiuk. In different periode there were working such assistant professors as: A.A. Zabramnyi, V.M. Polishchuk, V.T.Yakymets’, assistant V. I. Kholin, O. Pashkevych, S.V. Pryyma, and S. Y. Yasnytskyi. Teaching process was led by Head of laboratory O.M. Soliar and laboratory assistants V. Mykhailys’, O.S. Petrysh.

In 2007 as a result of division of Power Engineering Department a new Department of Electro Technical System was formed which was headed by Candidate of Engineering, professor V.M. Syrotiuk.
